Multicolor bulb (with simulated White as the first option in the series and 6 other colors) Recessed Steam Room Lighting Fixtures are a popular steam room & steam bath accessory. One LED bulb fixture can light a 4' x 4' shower enclosure, however we recommend at least 3 light fixtures for small steam rooms and up to 7 lights (max.) for large steam rooms. This kit is great for any traditional tiled steam room, acrylic modular steam room or acrylic shower enclosure. The base priced steam light kit includes one vapor proof housing with LED bulb, On/Off waterproof wall switch, and low voltage power supply that plugs into standard 110V outlet. For larger rooms call for details on how to use 2 power supplies on 1 switch to have up to 14 lights. Basically use 1 external switch to control 110V input power to both transformers, so waterproof switches for inside steam room would be unused.

LED light bulb technology operates on low voltage and produces very little heat. In each light fixture head, the bulb assembly has 28 individual LED bulbs for rich colors (multicolor bulb).  Standard choice LED bulb displays multiple color combinations, as pictured and explained below. Pressing the switch sets color changing modes or changes fixed colors. Approximately 70 lumens of brightness per bulb.

Basic Installation of Steam Room Lighting Fixtures:

Fixture mounts through ceiling / tile materials up to 1" thick, with lock nut and bulb fixture threaded on end (in many cases a router can be used to provide counterbore clearance on lock nut side). Use a 2-1/2" diameter hole saw of correct type for ceiling material, tile, acrylic, etc. and insert recessed fitting. REQUIRES ACCESS ABOVE CEILING to secure lock nut on backside of fixtures. Choose a convenient place in the wall for the waterproof switch and drill a 1-1/4" hole for mounting. Connect wire harness connectors and plug power supply into a 110v standard outlet. You may connect 'daisy chain' up to 7 light fixtures with included extension wiring harness. If using closed cell spray foam insulation, use a plastic cylinder or other plastic container around steam light fixture(s) to protect from chemicals. This steam room light kit with fixtures works as a stand-alone unit, regardless of which steam generator controls are used.

The smart LED bulb in each fixture has a cluster of 28 super bright LEDs and provides 3 display modes including Slow Color Fade (slow full cycle), Fast Color Flash (fast full cycle), and Fixed Color. 7 Fixed Color combinations are: Aqua Blue, Soothing Violet, Ocean Blue, Majestic Gold, Shamrock Green, Fiery Red and Simulated White (mixing Red, Green & Blue). Press the waterproof button lightly to change color, or press harder to turn off. Multiple fixture kits display the same color through all and stay in sync when in color change modes. To easily reset bulbs in color sync, turn off switch for 5 seconds then back on. Up to 7 total light fixture assemblies can be hooked up to one power supply pack.

The Steam Room or Shower Enclosure will appear brighter when lights are 12" or closer to a corner or side walls. This allows light to wash down walls. Simple plug-and-play operation allows for easily testing light locations by holding lit up fixtures near the ceiling at installation points to get a feel for light output.
