What are main differences between Infrared Saunas and Traditional Saunas?
Infrared Saunas are a totally different feel, with a lower level of heat (up to 140°F) and NO steam. Think of it as like sitting in a room with the sun shining from all sides. Carbon heaters emit safe infrared wavelengths that heat your body directly instead of the air in the room. Traditional saunas use an electric stove with hot rocks to heat the air in the sauna room which can achieve temperatures over 200°F, plus allowing the use of water on the hot stove rocks for vaporized steam. If you are not sure which Sauna type is right for you, check at your local health clubs to see if they have both types (Infrared and Traditional) that you can try for a small fee.
