Certain materials that make the lining of a steam room take longer to heat up. Use the adjusted cubic footage total when selecting a steam generator or boiler to ensure enough steam power to get the steam room operational in a reasonable time. |
Step 1. Calculate the cubic footage of the steam room enclosure. Length x Width x Height = cubic feet. (Do not deduct for benches or other intrusions as they represent surface area to heat.) L x W x H = ________ CUBIC FEET
Step 2. Add the following adjustments to the cubic footage calculated in step 1 to account for your specific room design features:

"Warm Start" Instant Steam Option. 3K series steam generators are available with the optional 'Warm Start" feature that keeps water in the tank preheated to a temperature just below boiling. With the "Warm Start" feature activated, steam begins flowing into the steam room in less than 60 seconds after the user turns on the steam generator, reducing the time required to heat the room to its desired temperature by several minutes. The "Warm Start" feature can be disabled with a simple on/off switch to eliminate unnecessary power consumption when the steam bath will not be used for extended periods of time.
3K20, 3K24 & 3K28 include two (2) generators connected to function as one (1) system with one (1) control.
3K26 includes three (3) generators connected to function as one (1) system with one (1) control.
Multiple unit ganged systems require one (1) steam head for each generator.
Heads must be ordered separatetly, typically 1 is included with control package.
Multiple unit ganged systems require one (1) drain valve kit for each generator.
