Ventilation

Fresh air intake and exhaust vents work seamlessly with the heater to promote natural airflow and breathability, eliminating CO2 and keeping the sauna comfortable. 

Wood-fired or Electric Options

Available in wood-fired or electric configurations, Soluna Duo offers flexibility without compromise — whether you prefer the aroma and intensity of dry heat from a fire or the simplicity of radiant electric heat. If you live in a cold climate, we recommend a minimum output of 10 kW. For wood-fired configurations, we will share a recommended parts list for chimney components that can be purchased online or in person at a hardware store.

Premium materials avoid hidden toxins (laminated woods, off-gassing finishes, poor ventilation) with high-quality thermal panels for weatherability and high temperatures without compromising air quality or comfort. 

High Quality Cedar

Each Soluna sauna is built with Inland Red Cedar, selected for its natural durability, dimensional stability, and resistance to moisture and heat. Used throughout the interior and exterior — framing, doors, duckboard flooring panels, benches, wall surfaces, and touchpoints — this cedar imparts a warm tone, straight grain, and a subtle, clean aroma that enhances the sauna experience without overpowering it. The result is a material that feels grounded, timeless, and made to last, aging beautifully with use while standing up to daily ritual.

Commercial Grade Thermal Panels

Our translucent wall panels are built from premium, heat-safe materials engineered for demanding, high-temperature environments. Manufactured from non-toxic composites, they are trusted across outdoor and thermal building applications for their stability, safety, and durability. In the sauna, they hold their shape under heat, won’t off-gas harmful VOCs, and can provide passive solar heating.

Wood-fired Stove Shield & Steel Floor Plate*

Add a high-quality, rust-resistant aluminum and steel surround to your wood-fired Harvia M3 or Harvia Pro 20 configuration to deflect heat, protect the sauna, and ensure safety and durability.

For IKI stoves, the surrounding rock cage provides sufficient insulation to reduce safety distances and increase user comfort.

Delivery & Scheduling

• Because Soluna ships on an oversized pallet, liftgate service may not always be available. In some cases, hand unloading may be required at delivery. Each Soluna component is designed to be lightweight and manageable, making it easy to move by hand and transport to your storage or installation site.

• Delivery can be scheduled in advance to align with your project timeline.

With basic tools and a friend or two, most customers can fully assemble their Soluna in one to two days, depending on your chosen stove setup (wood or electric). The pre-finished timber frames fasten together cleanly, and our modular panels are engineered for intuitive installation—no contractor required.

Durability in Harsh Elements

Soluna has been tested with a Zone 4b Minnesota snow load. If you live in an area that experiences deep and heavy snow, we recommend installing plywood over the top of the Soluna during the most snowy months. We also reccomend snow-raking your roof in the winter to avoid snow and ice buildup, which can cause the roof to sag or fail under extreme weight.

Discuss with a builder in your area familiar with local codes and regulations to determine if extra materials are necessary to protect your Soluna during extreme weather events.
