If sauna is a sanctuary, it can’t be constructed in a strip mall.

Superior Sauna, resting on the shores of Lake Superior, is where you want your sauna made.

Nestled in Aspen and Spruce, surrounded by cold water to throw on the stones, we are more than a company.

We are a way of life.

We are more than sauna builders.

We are a vision of what all our lives can be when we slow down, listen to our surroundings, and live out of a natural world that taught us awe in the first place.

At Superior, we don’t see heat and water as restrictions. We are inspired by them. At Superior, we don’t see space and material as limitations, we are motivated by them. At Superior, we don’t wait in line for hot boxes, we fire up our saunas over Wi-Fi as we crest the last hill on the Birkie.

Seth and I are privileged to be the new caretakers of Superior Sauna. We love the radical, personal, customer service. We love the passion for beautiful wood, sustainably harvested, handcrafted. Furthermore, we love the commitment of our builders who spend days bending wood, evenings cooking around the fire with friends, weekends kayaking or tracking deer in the very forests that give us heat.

But what we love most is the chance to form healing rituals around elemental things like heat, cold, fire, and stone.

Our company is high-tech, innovative, fun, but we have never forgotten the raw elements that make anything truly good.
